James Blaha

James grew up suffering from amblyopia and strabismus. As an adult he decided to try and improve his own vision with technology. While building the first prototype of Vivid Vision he gained stereo vision and went on to start the company.

Manish Gupta

Manish left IBM to co-found the company in 2014. Experienced in both engineering and design, Manish leads development at Vivid Vision.

Tuan Tran, OD

Dr. Tran is an Optometrist from Detroit, MI. He makes sure optometrists and vision therapists can get the most out of Vivid Vision.

Ben Backus, PhD

Before joining Vivid Vision, Ben ran the Backus Lab at SUNY School of Optometry in New York. His work at the lab focused on understanding how binocular vision works. He uses his expertise to make sure our system is using the cutting edge of vision science.

Jordan Braunstein

Jordan, formerly at Trustee, runs logistics and customer success at Vivid Vision.

John Drake

Formerly at LucasArts and Telltale Games, John heads up the design of our games.

Brian Dornbos

Dr. Dornbos is an optometrist from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He received his Bachelor's in Vision Science and his Doctor of Optometry from the Michigan College of Optometry. Prior to joining Vivid Vision, he served as a clinical instructor for the Battle Creek VAMC.

Alan Purdy

A game developer and programmer for several years, Alan is our resident expert in the Unity3D game engine.

Ken Nichols

Ken Nichols provides customer support, animation, and 3D modeling for Vivid Vision.

Eric Medine

Eric Medine is a multimedia/video artist. He's shown work at Track 16, Andrew Shire, the MCA in L.A, xm:lab, LACE, Faites de la Lumieres, and the LPM festival.

He’s worked with Major Lazer, Meat Beat Manifesto, the Orb, Lila Downs, Infected Mushroom, Excision, Wet Mango, Dan Wilcox, and Grammatik.

He is also a fearless zombie killer.

Amina Weed

Previously at Hope Clinic in Bellevue, WA, Amina brings extensive experience in vision therapy to help Vivid Vision Providers get the most out of the system.

Sunao Miyoshi

Sunao handles sales, distribution, and marketing in Asia.
